Asset 4: Upload the video you want to be used in the ad to YouTube and provide the link to the video to us. The video should be less than 30 seconds.
File Type: Assets 1, 2 and 3 should be submitted as JPGs with a max file weight of 100kb each.
NOTE: When users first come to the site the ad will auto expand and remain expanded for the length of the video. The video will auto play but the sound will be muted. Users will have the option unmute the audio. If users go to a second page during the same visit or come back to the site inside of 24 hours they will see the contracted state and they will have to click on the “Click To Open” text to expand the ad.

In Banner Video 300×250
Asset 1:
300×250 JPG with a 280×160 empty space for the embedded video. Place graphic elements outside of this box and include an easy-to-read call to action that will link to your landing page.
Asset 2: 300×250 JPG that will serve to users not running Flash. These users will not see the video play. Recommended call to action would be “click to watch video” and the graphic could be a still frame of the video with a play button. It can link to a landing page to watch the video.
Asset 3:
Upload the video you want to be used in the ad to YouTube and provide the link to the video to us. The video should be less than 30 seconds.
Note:
The video will auto play but the sound will be muted. Users will have the option to replay the video with the sound on.

Expandable Leaderboard with Video
Description:
This is a user-initiated ad unit. It requires the user to hover over the ad for it to expand and then auto play a YouTube video that is embedded into the expanded panel of the ad.
Asset 1: 728×90 JPG, PNG or GIF. Must contain a call to action to either mouse or hover over the ad to expand to see the video.
Asset 2: 983×400 JPG, PNG or GIF. Must contain at least a 500×250 blank area where the video will be placed. Also must contain a call to action to close the expanded panel.
Asset 3:
Link to a 15 to 30 second YouTube video that will play in the expanded panel.
Asset 4:
The web address the background of the 728×90 and 983×400 should link to.

Flash Requirements

If you would like to send an ad in Flash format: Submit the .swf, .fla and all fonts used to create the ad. It must have an accompanying .gif or .jpg as backup. The top layer must contain an invisible, ad-sized button with the following actionscript associated with the button:

The actionscript needs to be EXACT. An extra quotation mark or comma will cause errors. Version Flash 9 or previous.


eCatalog Specs

Please proof your catalog carefully before submitting it to us.

We would prefer that your catalog be saved as one HI-RES PDF (same as print-optimized PDF) with all the catalog pages contained in that one file. Catalogs should not exceed 250 pages . We recommend that you separate any spreads in the catalog into single pages within the PDF. If spreads are not split into individual pages, they will appear smaller when the catalog is posted online.

PLEASE NOTE: It is important that your catalog be saved as version 1.3 (Acrobat 4 compatible) PDF files, as these files have all artwork flattened. Please be aware that submission of PDF version 1.4 or higher files risk having minor changes to elements on the pages due to flattening.

By default, we use the first page/cover of your catalog as the thumbnail image on the eCatalog landing page. We recommend that your catalog cover not have a white background (if it does place a stroke/border around the cover and submit the cover as a separate image). If you would like a different image used for your catalog cover, then include a (116×150) 72dpi RGB JPG file of that image along with the PDF in a Zip archive when you upload the catalog.

Traffic Instructions

Please go to: https://pbm.sendmyad.com/ . Sign up for an account (username and password of your choosing); when asked what type of ad you would like to send, click Digital Ads; Choose the name of the publication you are submitting to (ex: Home Accents Today, Gifts and Dec) as the Media Profile. Place your Catalog PDF into a Zip Archive before uploading and include the answers to the questions below in a Word, Notepad or Text doc and add it to the Zip Archive:

  1. The Catalog name as you would like it listed under the catalog cover on the landing page.
  2. The URL the catalog should link to.
  3. If you want to enable the lead generation component, the email address the leads should be emailed to.
  4. If you would like us to set up the Table of Contents, please provide the names of the categories you would like listed and the page number that each section/category begins on. We recommend that you keep the Table of Contents simple (no more than 15 links/sections).
  5. Also indicate if you want users to be able to email a link of your catalog to others.
